Our Annual Projects
Every year brings different theater opportunities to WILDe, and our members are always open for new initiatives! Yet some of our events have become the traditions, we proudly pass on from generation to generation. Below you can find a selection of the leading projects of our association and their descriptions
Workshops
Every 1-2 weeks WILDe hosts interactive theater workshops, whereby our members come together and play theater games in order to gain basic acting skills. The workshops could be themed (e.g. voice, movement, photography workshops) or improvised (just playing our most famous improv acting games and having fun).

Zoombie Walk
When the dark forces crawl out of the abyss and Halloween begins in Rotterdam, WILDe Theater celebrates the world's day of fear by hosting the Zombie Makeup workshop, whereby the makeup artists convert our actors into Zombies for an outdoor photoshoot with a professional photographer.

Are you an aspired make-up artist, a photographer or, perhaps, just willing to become a Zombie for one night? Then contact us and stay tuned for our Zoombie Walk event!
Murder Mystery
Do you love improvised acting or solving crime scenes? Then you will definitely enjoy playing our Murder Mystery game!
Once a year, WILDe joins forces with our partners from the Erasmus College EUCSA and host a live reenactment of the famous board game Clue(do). The actors set up a story in EUC, whereby someone gets murdered and the audience must find out who killed the victim and why by talking to the actors and following the clues. The participants are also able to enjoy food and drinks provided by the Erasmus College. All for free!

Plays
Twice a year, WILDe members choose actors for, direct, set up and present with a long (60-120 min) play. The writers, directors and actors are chosen via auditions. Afterwards, the cast, guided by the director(s), rehearse 2-3 times a week for 3 months and perform in the Pavillion Theater in front of a large audience.

Short
Films
Apart from organizing theaterical events, WILDe also gives its aspired filmmakers a chance to liberate their imagination. 1-2 times a year our association hosts and participates in Film competitions, such as an “84 Hour Movie Challenge” where our members gather together in a group and produce a short film in limited amount of time with a given key-word, a character or a quote to start with.

Do you prefer cameras to stage? Then follow our Facebook Group or the Current Events page and watch out for the script writing, acting, directing, filming and editing opportunities! If you have a script, or an idea for a short film, send it our way, so we can allocate a budget, and give a platform to recruit interested members for your film!
Cultural Platform
Cultural platform is one of the biggest art events of the year at the Erasmus University, whereby multiple art associations (dance, choir, theater) from the SG Erasmus, (including us!) come together and organize one big play followed by dances and songs. Every year has a different theme! The role of WILDe in the event is to script the actual performance and to provide the organization with actors.
